	Very early this past Saturday morning, RE/MAX Parkside Real Estate, along with its major partners First American Title, Santa Lucia Bank, Spinnaker Financial and Key Termite & Pest Control, hosted the 4th annual Up With Kids back to school shopping event at the Target store in Paso Robles. Everyone had a great time and, thanks to the efforts of hundreds of volunteers and donors, 151 local kids have new clothes to start their school year off right.
Up With Kids is an annual event created by the REALTORS of RE/MAX Parkside Real Estate to help provide new school clothes and classroom supplies for north county kids who might not otherwise be able to afford them. The event started at 6:00am with 150 sleepy local kids arriving at Target, not sure exactly what to expect. Once checked in and given their own custom Up With Kids tee shirt, the kids were introduced to their very own Shopperone and taken shopping through the clothing section of Target. The Shopperones were RE/MAX agents, local business people and their friends and family who helped the kids shop and find just the right items for their back to school wardrobe. Each kid was allotted $103 to spend on clothing items from shirts and pants to socks and jackets.
	After they had finished shopping, the kids were treated to breakfast (courtesy of Target) and then had their photo taken with several Paso Robles firefighters in front of one of Pasos big red fire engines. Believe it or not, the event was finished by 8:30am. What an exciting morning! Many generous partners made significant contributions to the kids back to school needs including Payless Shoe Source (free shoe gift certificates), Senor Sanchos Restaurants (back packs), Taylor Rental (tables and other event supplies), Staples (discounted school supplies), Starbucks Coffee (coffee and cups), Congregation Ohr Tzafon (coordination of the New to You clothing section) and Barry Ross (video and photo production). And of course, Target and its employees played an enormous role by hosting the event in their store.
